Elliott's Funeral - 21 Jan 09

Really Sad News......

Things have been a bit hard at home for my son, Ashley, as last week his best friend Elliott was killed while he stood on the side of the road waiting for the school bus to collect him. Elliot was only 13 when he was hit by a car, some of you may have seen it on the news last week. There is a memorial service for him at school tomorrow (Wed 14th Jan) and then we have to wait to find out when the funeral is before my son can finally put it all behind him, so to speak!! We took some flowers and a card down to where it happened at the weekend, so that Ashley could pay his respects. I hope that your thoughts and prayers can be with Elliott's family and friends at this difficult time.

You'll never believe...... because I didn't!!

Well last week I received a phone call to say that I had won a competition through Personal Impressions and could they check my address, which I duly did and then hung up and afterwards, thought oh no I forgot to ask what I had won!!!! Then as usual really, really busy and completely forgot all about it until a Royal Mail van pulled up onto my driveway and I thought I'm not expecting anything and don't have any demos coming up, so it can be that, they must have the wrong house! But to my greatest surprise it was a big parcel for me. So hurried inside and opened the same only to find that it was my prize from Personal Impression and you will never guess what it was................................................... well I better tell you because I couldn't believe it either! A silhouetee digital die cutting machine together with 4 packs of paper, 90 designs and fonts plus a voucher to download more!!!!! - well I couldn't believe it, nor can you I expect. Anyway I am going to have to have a tidy up of my desk in order that I can fit the same on and then attach it to the computer, so that I can play hopefully this weekend. Will let you know how it goes!! I still can't believe I won, as I never win anything ever!!! Helen

First Time Blogging

Well here goes my first blog other than the one I have created through the Do Crafts website!

This has been an exciting few weeks for me as not only have I now created my own blog, but I have also been introduced to Facebook through some good friends and have found quite a few other friends through this that I didn't know were part of this exciting world! I will try and add some photos shortly along with some of the cards I have recently made of the Forever Friends at my demo at the Papermill in Street recently.
